A hands-on demo and discussion of Strata was organised to improve the use of data driven insights for climate, environment, and security. Launched in February 2022, Strata aids in monitoring climate risks and environmental stresses, allowing for better policy design and intervention planning.

The session provided information about Strata’s newest features and allowed users to explore the various components of the platform. Participants at the outreach event engaged in a discussion on the technical aspects and the future scope of Strata. They also discussed the possible applications of data-driven insights for climate change and security. 

A few potential areas of application mentioned by participants included a multi-agency study on Climate Security in Haiti, and Civilian Crisis Management efforts by EUCAP in Mali and the wider Sahelian Region.
